I haven’t ever been very good at journaling, and so this is my attempt to get better. So, I’m still in school at Grand Valley State University in Allendale Michigan and we have about 4 more weeks left of this semester. It’s crazy how fast it’s flown by. I’ve met some amazing professors and students along this way. I do hope that we don’t lose contact as we progress together and I’m really looking forward to seeing them in the next semester. The course content does seem a bit worrisome, it’s a lot.. and I mean A LOT of writing and presentations. I keep thinking that I’m not doing something or missing some quiz as I go through this, but so far I think I’ve been on top if it all. I’m currently enrolled in these classes:

  • Human Behavior and Environment
  • Public Policy
  • Generalist Practice
  • Professional Development

I keep having this nightmare where I’m taking a 5th class and I’m failing it. It’s an awful dream and happens about once or twice a week. Maybe I’m just worried about failing, which is normal! But this dream class is impossible to pass, I may be thinking that I’m not good enough or too old and can’t get through this so I have these dreams about not being able to make it. I’m really not sure.

A lot of people keep telling me that they are so busy, don’t have time, and “how are we supposed to complete this?!”. I feel you! You should enjoy that though, because life gets so much busier as you get older. I have 3 kids, a full time job, full time school, three volunteer positions, and I deliver food/groceries on the side. I’m literally always doing something and it’s rough, but you can make it through, just as I can. If you ever need support, reach out to me 🙂 I am all about supporting people through whatever is going on in their lives!

Before this semester ends, I hope to get a podcast going. I haven’t really created any content or even a plan for what it will be or a format. I know that I want the podcast to be about what I talk about on here, however I also want to introduce people I know and ask and go through conversations with them. I think it’s a great learning experience for myself and hopefully listeners, if any.. ever.
