The National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics can be found by clicking here.

The National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics is almost like a guide book for Social Workers. The core values are identified within the code of ethics in detail under ethical principles. Some examples of core values are service, social justice, dignity and worth of a person, and integrity. Each value has an ethical principle attached to it, so for example the value integrity has an ethical principle that social workers behave in a trustworthy manner.

The code of ethics is split into 4 sections, the “Preamble”, Purpose of the NASW Code of Ethics, Ethical Principles, and Ethical standards.

During my time working towards my degree in social work, I’ll be adding sections of the Code of Ethics to this site with details, examples, and personal experiences that are effected by the code.
