The Future I Want From This Website

March 10, 2026

My hope for this website is simple and ambitious at the same time. I want it to feel thoughtful without becoming sterile. Personal without becoming performative. Useful without sounding like a brochure. I want the blog side to hold reflection, doubt, opinion, growth, and the messier interior parts of practice and life. I want the resource side to offer grounded writing on therapy, foster care, rights, laws, and mental health topics in a way that stays readable. Too much online writing either floats above reality or drowns people in jargon. I want a middle path. I also want room to evolve. New categories. Better widgets. Sharper design. More refined writing. Maybe features I have not thought of yet. That is the nice thing about building your own site instead of renting a prefab identity from a platform you hate. It can grow in the direction your actual work grows. This is the starting line, not the finished product. And honestly, that makes it more alive.
